UNDERSTANDING YOUR MOVE:
1. We guarantee your move date
2. We offer arrival windows for your move (i.e. 8-10am arrival window means we may arrive as soon as 8am, no later than 10am, and call when on our way)
3. We have a 3 hour labor minimum, plus any additional time used
4. We charge for California Public Utility Commission “Double Drive Time”, in addition to our 3 hour labor minimum (round trip time between your pick up and drop off)
5. Fuel fees may apply
6. No stair, elevator or long carry fees on local moves
7. No taxes
8. It is customary to tip between 15-25%
9. We bring dollies and tools
10. We include disassembly and reassembly of furniture as needed
11. We provide FREE use of blankets and wardrobe boxes during your move
12. Cargo insurance is included up to .60 cents per pound per article
13. If your building requires a Certificate of Liability Insurance or signed Mover’s Agreement, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can accommodate
14. Crates for breakables and packing of boxes are additional per use, ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKING RATES AVAILABLE, ASK YOUR ASSOCIATE!!!
15. Payment at end of move with Cash, Credit Card (3% Processing Fee) (NO AMEX), NO CHECKS
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Total cost of move is based on how many hours your move takes. We have a 3 hour minimum. Just because your quote may provide the minimum charges, this does not mean that your move will only take 3 hours. Provide your associate with photos of your place, an inventory list, or request a visual estimate for a more accurate quote.
2. Stairs, elevators/elevator and loading dock reservation windows, long carries, and other factors outside of our control may affect the duration of your move time.
3. We depend on the customer to give us complete details about their move so that we can offer a good faith estimate, not disclosing full details about your move may cause delays and additional charges outside of our control.
4. Delays caused by the customer are chargeable at the hourly rate quoted.
5. Our largest truck size is 26′ and holds the contents of approximately a 3 bedroom home/2,000 square feet. You may need more than 1 truck for your move. Provide your inventory to your sales associate so that we can be prepared the day of the move.
6. We do not always have additional trucks available last minute. If we do have additional trucks available they will be at an additional fee, including an increased hourly rate for the additional manpower required to man another truck.
We do not honor binding not to exceed quotes without performing a visual estimate.
7. Packing of boxes, and crates for breakables will be billed per hour, plus the cost of materials used.
8. If customer refuses a crate for a breakable item such as a TV, glass table top, mirror, china cabinet, marble top table, lamp, etc…they may sign a waiver of liability for said item.
9. Blankets and wardrobe boxes are an additional fee if you want to keep them after the move (i.c. If we are delivering to your storage unit)
10. We follow California Public Utility Commission Law for local travel charges, called “Double Drive Time”
ll. “Double Drive Time” is calculated as the round trip travel time between the two points of the move and charged at the same hourly rate as labor. We do not charge the time it takes from dispatch to the starting point of your move, or the time it takes from the ending point of your move back to dispatch.
12. “Double Drive Time” can increase when traffic situations arise.

I5. Tips are at your own discretion however typical tips range between 15-20% of the total cost of the move bused on customer satisfaction.
16. Overnight truck hold fees of SI 50 per truck, per night, with a maximum of 2 nights when available, may apply if required by client.
17. Short-term storage (less than I year) is available if necded at an additionnl cost (,35-45 per of per month) based on the size of your shipment, plus labor to load/unloud, and applicable to and from our storage facility
18. We can request payment in full prior to unloading the truck.
19. Our liability is limited to the free Cargo Insurance that comes with your move up to .60 cents per pound per article, additional insurance can be purchased through your own provider or our partners at www.bakerintl.com
20. We are liable only for damages to those items we professionally pack or wrap, not items you pack or wrap.

22. If there are damages to the dwelling please notify the moving crew right away and call your associate to report the damages.
23. We do NOT move Grand Pianos, Pool Tables, Sheds bolted to the ground, Basketball Hoops bolted to the ground, or Jacuzzis.
24. We do NOT uninstall or reinstall washers and dryers, refrigerators with water lines, gas stoves, and other appliances, and we are not liable for damages related to this.
25. We do NOT move high value jewelry, electronics, medications, cash, and irreplaceable heirlooms, and do not have liability if they become damaged or lost.
26. We do NOT move flammable items such as propane tanks, food, alcohol, and plants, and do not take liability for these items.
27. We do NOT disassemble reassemble cribs for the safety of your children.
28. We do NOT mount TVs, white boards, curtains, etc…
29. We do NOT disassemble reassemble cubicles with electrical components.
30. We cannot keep an eye on the truck at all times during loading and unloading and theft may occur, we are not liable for stolen items.
31. Customers may not ride on the truck with our employees.
32. We can disassemble reassemble pressed wood furniture such as that from IKEA however due to the nature of pressed wood, disassembly reassembly of furniture made from it can cause wear and tear that is not repairable, and we have no liability for it.
33. Please have boxes pre-packed and sealed, and keep under 50 pounds each. Mark boxes for each room they go to, and if they are fragile.
34. Please empty dresser drawers prior to our arrival, or if they come out of the dresser we can wrap separately.
35. Please empty and defrost refrigerators and freezers prior to our arrival.
36. Do not pack any food or beverages if it is going to storage, we are not liable for damages that may happen
37. 1 discount can be applied per move, discounts cannot be combined.
38. To book we require a signed contract, deposit as applicable, and credit card on file to reserve the date. Without these you are not 100% guaranteed a move with us.
39. Any change to your move date, or cancellation of the move within our 72 hour advance cancellation window will incur a 3 hour minimum fee at the hourly rate quoted. This fee must be paid at the time of your cancellation to the card on file, or on the day of the rescheduled move.
